Your Presentation at your Fingertips!

AirPoint is a plugin for Microsoft PowerPoint that lets you control your slide show with a wave of your hand.
  • Laser pointer tool
  • Swipe between slides with a flick of your finger
  • Drawing tool to add quick annotations to your presentation (cleared on slide change in this version)
  • Trigger movies and audio clips
  • Configuration options including: size and color of the pointer, width and color of the drawing line
Installation notes

On Windows, you might experience some benign security and compatibility related issues while installing. They are due to general computer settings and are all easily dealt with (we have resolved more than a dozen support request in the first two days).

AirPoint is a plugin and depends on its environment, so most of these setting are out of the scope of what we provide. Nevertheless, we will be glad to help you if you have any difficulties. If you need support, you can consult the dedicated Troubleshooting page on our website, or otherwise feel free to contact us directly.

Please make sure that:

  • you have the administrator rights on your computer. Otherwise, you might not be able to copy the files necessary for installing the plugin.
  • your user path does not contain special/regional characters ( C:/Users/xxx/AppData/Local/AirspaceApps)
  • you are connected to the Internet the first time you run the application, and that you are not behind a firewall. This is a common requirement for all applications, as they are required to register with your account the first time they run.
  • your PowerPoint is configured to accept third-party add-ons, and that the AirPoint add-on is activated. If not, the installed plugin will simply be ignored.

  • Not Very Useful

Eh, what can I say? Does it 'work'? Yeah, but is it really useful in this version? No.

  • Good concept but needs refinement

Looking forward to next version solving a few things: - The laser pointer is always on; would like to see that this depends no the number of fingers. Eg 1 finger: laser, 2 or more fingers/hand -> swipe - Sensitivity is too high and it starts wizzing immediately and without even trying or wanting you are flicking the setting switches ; like some other apps, think about a gesture that puts the app in a 'change setting' mode. Also decrease the sensitivity.

  • Barely works but ugly

    2 of 5
    by user-2694 – July 25, 2013

It barley works for me. I tried it with Keynote. I could switch slides with "easy swiping" off. Pointer movement was very jaggy, always on, and annoying. So was drawing. Tabs, pointers, lines were all ugly so I rather hesitate to use them in front of my audiences. It would not remember preferences (options), so I had to set them every time I used it.

  • Distracting red button

    2 of 5
    by user-3210 – July 23, 2013

I do a lot of presentations so I am supportive of this being the right method. There is a red dot you can't make invisible that will give your viewers a sense of watching tennis. The concept is good and I like the idea of simple features. Other apps use the gestures better, e.g. google earth. Additional functionality I would like is what I get from a traditional laser pointer. Moving slide forward, moving slide back, blank slide and lazer pointer. 4 gestures is all I ask for.

  • improvement suggestion

Hi, I think the red dot and the trail shouldn't be visible during the swipe - this visually spoils the otherwise cool effect for the presenter. This is coming from a place where powerpoints are daily bread. The app's working acceptably, but this seemingly minor esthetic shortcoming is in fact a showstopper, preventing actual real-life use. Shouldn't be difficult to implement - just disable drawing when there's more than one finger. Hope to hear back from you soon.

  • Good Idea, But...

    3 of 5
    by user-3601 – July 23, 2013

A great concept to "Wow" an audience with hands-free power point navigation. In practice, underperforms - as mentioned by another reviewer, the red dot swiping across the screen in "easy navigation" is very distracting. In advanced mode also distracting to grab left or right side of screen to advance. Hoping for an update with improvements....
